N97 Lens Scratches

There seems to be a developing issue with the Nokia N97 whereby the lens cover is actually causing scratches to the lens

Below are photos of my lens. The scratch between LED and lens is bad enough that it reflects light across the lens when taking photos if the flash is used, rendering them unusable
